This neighbourhood kopitiam at 101 Woodlands was designed to feel bright, airy and welcoming while handling the heavy footfall of a busy coffee shop. We layered woven rattan pendant lights and timber slat features to bring natural warmth overhead, then grounded the dining zone with marble-top tables and metal Tolix-style chairs that are as durable as they are stylish. Planter dividers threaded with greenery break the large hall into softer, more intimate pockets without blocking sightlines or airflow. Backlit menu boards above multiple food stalls keep offerings clear and easy to browse, encouraging quick, confident ordering. Patterned floor accents add character and help zone the circulation paths for smooth crowd flow. The overall effect is a high-capacity F&B space that never feels institutional — an open, tropical-modern coffee shop that stays cool, cheerful and easy to move through even at peak mealtimes.
